Ford hat den Fiesta im Juli in Köln eingestellt und eigentlich sollte dort ab sofort der neue Ford Explorer gebaut werden, das erste Elektroauto für den Massenmarkt. Wir haben aber letzte Woche erfahren, dass sich der Explorer etwas verspäten wird.
Ford nutzt die MEB-Plattform der Volkswagen AG, die Autocar übrigens daraufhin gefragt hat. Die aktuellen MEB-Modelle von VW werden nicht angepasst, mit neuen Modellen wird das natürlich anders sein. Und Autocar hat auch verraten, dass die Top-Version des Ford Explorer bis zu 330 PS besitzt und zwei Elektromotoren hat.

Ford is embracing the incoming technical standard for electric vehicles (UN Regulation 100.3) because it is consistent with our internal philosophy to deliver safe, high-quality vehicles to customers around the globe. This means the new Explorer will now be delivered to customers in the summer of 2024.
